WEEK 9 & 10 - COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

            For this week 9 and 10, we would like to share with you all about the competitive advantage of having the Agoda online hotel booking system. For your information, Agoda using the value chain model as their strategic to help their company in achieving the company’s goal.


            Based on the value chain model, there are two activities which are the primary activities and support activities. However, this model is the best practices for Agoda Company go beyond to become better in their performance compared to other competitors. 


There are three competitive advantages of Agoda. One of them is low cost of promotions. Basically, Agoda will advertising their promotions by sent to their customers via email. The promotion is purpose to attract the customers in using Agoda on booking the hotel by online. The example of their promotion is Agoda’s best hotel offer including the hotel package and budgeting price. Besides, their promotions and rates are changing daily. So, they always give something new about the promotions to their customers compared to other competitors.

The next competitive advantage is reliable service. Agoda is known as a reliable service because of providing the good service on online hotel booking for their customers. Most of people are using Agoda as their medium to reserve the hotel that they interested because of the trustworthy between the Agoda and their customers. Practicing the reliable service can increase the customer's satisfaction.

 The last competitive advantage is hotel discount. Comparing to other competitors, Agoda is always concern about their customers by giving the hotel discount. The discount is giving to ensure the customers relationship is managing as good as well. Normally, Agoda will give discount off such as 50% off for half price hotel deals to their customers neither for the first customers nor for the regular customers. However, it also can build a good relationship with their customers.
